Why this one
The links in Google News feeds point to Google, not to the publisher, which makes them useless for deduplication, archiving or reading. This actor resolves every link to the real article URL using the same call Google's own web client makes, adds the source name and date, and can pull the readable article text so a single run gives you a dataset you can actually use.
- Decoded publisher URLs on every row, so two feeds that list the same story can be deduplicated and the link can be shared.
- Topic sections and keyword searches with Google's own operators and time window, in any of the 40+ country editions.
- Optional article text extraction with author, image and word count, for the cases where the headline is not enough.
- Related coverage per story, as Google groups it, when several outlets report the same event.
What people use it for
- Brand, competitor and executive mentions delivered hourly to Slack or a sheet, with clean links the team can open.
- A continuous news archive for market research built from a daily run with a one-day time window.
- Citable, fresh news for an AI agent or RAG pipeline, through the Apify MCP server.
- PR reporting: who covered a story first and which outlets picked it up.

Output
Each result is one JSON record. The main fields: query, title, source, publishedAt, url, articleText. Download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the API.
Pricing
$2.40 / 1,000 results, charged per result with no Apify platform usage added on top. A run that returns nothing costs nothing beyond Apify's default start fee of $0.00005.
Frequently asked
Why only 100 articles per query?
Google News returns at most 100 items per feed. For more coverage, split the time window with publishedWithin and run on a schedule, or use several more specific queries.
Do I need a proxy?
Not for the feeds and the URL decoding. For full article text many publishers block datacenter IPs, so turn on Apify Proxy when fetchArticleText is enabled.
Which countries and languages work?
Any Google News edition: set a language such as en, de, it or pt-BR and a country such as US, GB, DE or IN.
